Graphs Relating to the Answers from the Questionnaire

The majority of the people we surveyed were aged between 16 and 19. We asked more people of this age category as we believed that they would watch music videos the most and have ideas that they could relay back to us. We felt it was important that we didn’t just ask people that were just in this age group as the music video had to appeal to as many people as possible.

We surveyed slightly more males than females as more males seemed to watch more music videos than females and we could get better feedback because of this.

  
When we asked people about what they would expect to see in a music video band performance and an interesting storyline were the answers that most people gave so these are the areas in which we are going to use most in our music video.

  
The majority of people which we surveyed said that slim fit clothing should be worn by the band in our music video. We are therefore going to have the band wearing slim fit clothing in our music video.

  
The majority of people which we surveyed said that they would like either a rundown area or the beach to be in our music video as these appeal to the target audience the most and would be the most eye-catching to look at.

  
The people that we surveyed were split between performance and narrative based so we have decided that we are going to combine them and create a video that is both performance based and narrative based.

  
When we asked this question the music videos that people answered with the most were by either Arctic Monkeys or The Maccabees. We researched both bands videos and tried to come up with ideas as to how to implement them into our own music video.

Light colours were slightly preferred by the audience which we surveyed. I think it depended on the tempo and the mood of the song which colours were used in the music video.

  

The majority of people which we surveyed said they liked the name of our band. They said it was “innovative” and was a catchy name.

  
The overwhelming majority for this question was that there had to be an exciting storyline which meant that we had to develop a storyline to make it as interesting as possible.

A unique storyline was also the favourite when this question was asked too. People said that the music video had to be different from others already made and had to be captivating at the same time.
